Why do we need risk ASSESSMENTS?Risk assessments are an important element in ensuring that the set can be safely used and that the crew arent in any danger while filming. It is also breaking the law if a risk assessment is not carried out and the company can be sued.

-i could create the sound of rain by recording the sound of rice being dropped or something more creative like the sound of sizzling bacon. Holding keys (0:03-0:05) - jingling/clashing of keys - i could get this sound from freesound.org or i could record the sound of cutlery clashing together. Getting out of bath (0:08-0:09)- plunging sound of water - I could drop something into a bowl of water and then record the sound it makes when i lift it back out. Drying hair (0:09-0:12)- sound of air blowing - I could record the sound of a fan blowing or go onto freesound to get this audio. -3 different short blow dryer sounds for 3 different blow drying scenes Pouring soup into bowl (0:12-0:14) - splashing sound - I could record the sound of water splashing or i could get the sound of water splashing from freesound. Sipping soup (0:16-0:17) - slurping sound - I could source this sound online from a free sound website such as freesound. Stiring soup (0:19-0:20) - clinking sound -I could record this sound myself by stirring something thick like youghurt in a cup. Fire (0:24-0:30) - crackling - I could record the sound of cellophane being crunched to sound like the fire crackling. exAMPLES OF SHOT TYPES IN THIS SCENE There are many shot types in this action scene that help to create a fast pace and intense fight. The shots are short and quickly cut into the next clip and some are slightly longer so that it creates a dramatic effect and builds tension. Here are some examples of these shot types and when they are used:

A bridging shot is a shot used to cover a jump in time or an interval. Examples of these shots include fling pieces of paper, newspaper headlines and seasonal changes. Using bridge shots allows minimal disruption in the flow of a film. | In the example above you see a woman speaking, then the camera moves to her side and shows her fiddling with a piece of paper. This is a simple example of a bridging shot. |
